Pam Kernie first began at St John’s Nursery School as a substitute teacher in 2015. She joined the 3s teaching team in 2017 and then moved to the 4s classroom two years ago. A Texas native and a graduate of Stanford University and the University of Washington School of Law, Pam spent two decades as a litigator, law firm administrator, and hospital development officer before pivoting to teaching. Teaching is without a doubt her favorite career. Since moving with her family to Larchmont from Dallas in 2011, Pam has also been an active volunteer with the Mamaroneck School District, the Columbia University Department of Pediatrics, the Sound Shore Stars Special Olympics program, and the Chapel Haven Schleifer Center. She and her husband Steve have three adult children and one grandchild. In her spare time, Pam loves to spend time with her family, travel, hike, cook, and explore the museums, restaurants, and sights of New York City.
